Below you will find instructions on how to register for your IGCSE/International GCSE and school exams if you are a private candidate. Please note that we do NOT offer practical exams to private candidates.

Pay for your exam
You will find the fees for all exams listed on the registration system. Your application will not be processed until you have paid for your exams in full.
Similarly, you will not be allowed to attend an exam if you have paid but have not completed the application and submitted this along with all required documents to the British Council for confirmation of your registration.
Pay Online
We accept Visa and Mastercard credit and Debit cards only for payment. You will be directed to a secure payment page.
Once you have made the payment, please submit the proof of payment and a copy of your identity document to info@britishcouncil.org.mw. You must include your Registration Reference Number in all communications.
Cash Deposit through the bank:
All cash deposit payments should be made at Standard Chartered Bank - any branch. Please pay the required fee via bank deposit into the British Council account using the details below:

Once you have made the payment, please submit the proof of payment (bank transfer or deposit slip) and a copy of your identity document to info@britishcouncil.org.mw. You must include your Registration Reference Number in all communications.

Late registration - penalty fees
There is a normal registration period for each exam session. You may still be able to register for exams after this date, but you will have to pay a penalty fee. The late entry fee is added to the test fees once the normal entry period is over.
Your registration is now complete
You have successfully registered for your exam with the British Council. You will receive your Statement of Entry and information about your examination venues approximately three weeks before your exams.
